“New Haichang” is a non-self-propelled cutter suction dredger, which leads domestic level. The dredger was designed by Ship and Ocean Engineering Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University and constructed by Jiangsu Haixin shipping Heavy Industries C0., Ltd. It is 113.05m in length, 21.08m in modeled breadth and 6.30m in modeled depth. It is equipped with three cable locating and steel piles trolley positioning system. The cutter power is 2800KW and its maximum dredging depth is 30m.
“New Haichang” was originally built for Jiangsu Haihong Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. During the construction process, in response to the call for supporting the nation-building, the dredger was then transferred to CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co.,Ltd. With the efforts of all the employees and the attention of company leaders, it was ready for delivery by the end of November,2014.
On December 1st, 2014, a ceremony was held to confirm the dredger’s
Completion in accordance with the requirements of the relevant documents,
Mr Meng xianhong,chairman of Jiangsu Haixin Shipping Heavy Industries Co.,Ltd.(third from left),Mr Zhou from CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co.,Ltd.(left), Mr Qian Xiaoyue, CCS, Electric head of Nantong Office (right), Mr Zhang, section chief of Nantong Maritime Bureau(second from left)attended the ceremony. After the confirmation of completion, CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co.,Ltd held a signing ceremony of Shipping delivery protocol, marking the formal transfer of the ship to CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co.,Ltd.
