The signing ceremony for the establishment of the Student activity sponsorship and the student practice base between Jiangsu Haixin Shipping Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. and the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Civil Engineering of SJTU was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Oct.14, 2011. In the signing ceremony, Professor Zhao Jincheng, Vice Dean, briefly introduced the academic settings as well as the gained honors in activities of "national university design contest".Then Mr. Zhang Yafeng, vice president of our company, also introduced the rapid development of Haihong and Haixin, and gladly recalled the good cooperation over the years with SJTU. Zhang said:“Our two companies keep partnership with SJTU for several years. Our 4500m3 /h cutter suction dredger and 13800m3 trailing suction hopper dredger in building are all designed by SJTU. The graduates from SJTU also increased the vigor for the enterprise. As we heard SJTU organizing students to attend the structural design competition every year, we hope to do something through providing supports.”
Afterwards, Professor Zhao Jincheng and vice president Zhang Yafeng signed the agreement. Mr. Shen Liyao, chief of company’s Human Resources Department, attended the signing ceremony, and had a preliminary communication with the teacher in charge of graduate students work.
